Jan-2020. Cambodia's State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA) senior deputy director Sinn Chanserey Vutha reported three undisclosed companies from China have been shortlisted to construct a new USD1.5 billion airport for Phnom Penh in Kandal Stueng District. The airport is a JV between local real estate conglomerate Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation (OCIC) and the SSCA. It will cover an area of 2600 hectares, making it one of the world's largest airports by land area.
