Special Economic Zones: Community Opportunities or Threats?

The Special Economic Zones development has been on top of the agenda and quickly processed under the supervision of the Government. The Government develops infrastructures, encourages SMEs’ investment, and systematizes the cross-border rules. But the success is not achieved because it lacks the participation of local people, local communities have no benefits from the development, and the communication with people is missing. These challenges are not in line with key identified strategies.
