Briefing note: Displacement from the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict December 2025

For thousands of families, this was their second time being displaced in just six months, as many had already been forced to leave their homes during the fighting from 24-28 July. Not only this, but the fighting in December led to more protracted displacement, as even since the ceasefire was agreed, thousands have been unable to return home.
