China and the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) cooperation

A working paper providing an overview and analysis of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) in the context of China-ASEAN cooperation and connectivity. The author argues that sub-regional cooperation mechanisms play significant role in concretising regional integration and community building. The GMS is one of the core regional cooperation schemes linking China with the mainland Southeast Asia. The paper focuses on infrastructure connectivity and economic cooperation.
