the-potential-of-rice-intensification-in-paoy-char-banteay-meanchey
A study by University of Copenhagen students on intensification of rice production in Banteay Meanchey province and the impacts of intensification methods on the livelihoods of local farmers. The authors identify several rice production systems: rainy season rice, dry season rice, and System of Rice Intensification (SRI). With reference to these the authors investigate the necessary inputs, credit and marketing issues; as well as impacts of rice production on soil quality; labour and livelihood activities; introduction of SRI growing techniques; irrigation infrastructure and water management.
