Tackling Illegal Logging, Deforestation and Forest Degradation: An Agenda for EU Action

This briefing note is the contribution of a group of non-governmental organisations to the policy debate related to the evaluation of the European Union Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) Action Plan, the review of the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR), and the EU’s commitment to halt deforestation and restore degraded forests by 2020. The briefing contains a discussion of recommendations for the EU related to the FLEGT Action Plan.
