Indigenous Peoples in ASEAN: Vietnam

This study provides a brief history of Vietnam’s indigenous peoples and their profile (including population; geographical location; brief information on their economic, social and cultural systems; customary institutions; natural resources management and ethnic minority women), their current legal status, laws, policies, programs and mechanisms applicable to them (including council of ethnic minorities, government agencies, mass organizations, policies and programs. Finally, the conclusion highlights National Programmes Linked to the ASEAN.
