Thailand’s 20-Year National Strategy and Thailand 4.0 Policy

Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha stated that the 20-year national strategy, which he had mentioned many times, is expected to help the country to achieve sustainable development. It is crucial for Thailand to have clear directions for long-term development. In his national address on 29 July 2016, the Prime Minister said that the National Economic and Social Development Plan would be mapped out in line with the national strategy. He cited as an example the 12th National Economic and Social Development Plan, 2017-2021, which will be implemented from October 2016 to September 2021.
