USAID country profile - Vietnam: property rights and resource governance

This report outlines land rights and land tenure issues in Vietnam. Key issues that may benefit from high impact interventions from donors are supporting women’s land rights, addressing risk of conflict and increase security for communities following communal tenure practices, ensuring application of laws requiring market price compensation for compulsory acquisition, promoting development of a more functional land market, supporting more sustainable water management and promoting expansion of community-based allocation and management of forestland.
