The risk of movement: Migration in Cambodia 2013

A report exploring the risks faced by Cambodian migrants and their broader systemic context. The report gives an overview of migration for domestic work, forced marriage and fishing, and discusses broader influencing factors such as domestic wages and passport costs that contribute to irregular migration. The author argues that Cambodians choose to migrate due to inadequate domestic wages and desolate employment opportunities at home, and migrate despite knowledge of the risks.
