Open Development Cambodia Organization (ODC) collaborated with William & Mary Law School in the United States to conduct a research study into the impact of new digital and technology laws on small - midsized enterprises (SMEs). In the last decade, Cambodia has seen a big surge in e-commerce and digital use. COVID-19 further propelled these economies in the last few years. The study is designed to compile current legislation and resources to determine the best way to address the needs of the SME community. It then looks specifically at new and proposed laws such as the National Internet Gateway (NIG) and data protection regulation.
