This report, the sixth in the Development Series, summarises key aspects of the fisheries of Lao PDR, providing an introduction and overview for a general audience. It is hoped that readers will develop a better appreciation of the diversity, size and value of this important sector, and an appreciation of the need for its conservation and sustainable development.
