Kid story videos in Tumpuon

This digital educational resource is one of the outputs of the project "Digital Educational Resources in Indigenous Languages for Primary School Students," which is funded by the Swedish Program for ICT in Developing Regions (SPIDER) and implemented by Open Development Cambodia (ODC) in collaboration with the Special Education Department (SED) of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS). The resources have been produced in five indigenous languages, such as Phnong, Kavet, Krung, Tumpuon, and Kuoy. The project aims at addressing the language barriers facing indigenous primary school students in Cambodia.

In addition, ODC continued its collaboration with the Department of Non-Formal and Inclusive Education (previously called the Special Education Department – SED) of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport to convert the department's kid storybooks into video format. Two additional kid stories, “Tree Shade” and “Let’s Go Read,” were produced in five indigenous languages: Phnong, Krung, Kavet, Tumpuon, and Jarai. These videos are additional to the project on digital educational resources in indigenous languages for primary school students, implemented by ODC in 2023.
